Prof. Sayantan Ghosal is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and of the Academy of Social Sciences. He serves on national and international advisory, editorial and expert panels including ESRC, UNESCO, PLOS One and Nature Humanities and Social Sciences Communications.
Formerly Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick, he has led and co-led over £10 million in externally funded research and supervised more than twenty-five PhD students. He holds a PhD from CORE, Université Catholique de Louvain, and his research focuses on general equilibrium, behavioural poverty traps, political economy and sovereign debt restructuring.
