Usha Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd. is the first sex workers’ financial cooperative in South Asia. Registered in 1995 under registration number 6/Cal, it is owned and managed by its own members, and all of its financial transactions are governed by the West Bengal Co-operative Societies Act, 1983.
