The recognition and appreciation received by Usha Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited from the West Bengal Cooperative Department is not merely the achievement of an institution — it is a recognition of the struggle, strength and leadership of the sex worker community.
This honour is dedicated to those sex worker women who, despite adversity, have stood tall, built their own savings, moved forward on the path of self-reliance, and fought together for dignity and rights. Usha has been built by sex workers, for sex workers, and under the leadership of sex workers.
