A two-and-a-half day residential training programme was held in Mysore under the KP Grant, jointly led by Usha and Ashodaya, focused on community capacity building, organisational development and leadership.
The training brought together representatives from 23 SSRs and DIs across two SRs. Sessions covered support group meetings, conflict resolution, decision-making and accountability — grounded in the experience of running 161 support group meetings across six states, engaging 4,549 community members.
The latter part focused on young female sex workers: leadership development, self-advocacy, protection skills and meaningful participation. Twenty youth leaders were identified and developed as young trainers, alongside 63 community volunteers prepared as trainers in Kolkata and Madhya Pradesh.
